Católica Research Center for the Future of Law has just launched the Católica Talks. Católica Talks is an open and informal space for the debate of legal topics of particular scientific interest, providing the invited speaker with an opportunity to present her or his current research.
In the first session, on February 7th, Gonçalo Almeida Ribeiro (Gulbenkian Professor at Católica Global School of Law) has presented his paper on "The Effects of Fundamental Rights in Private Disputes”. In the second session, on February 26th, Elizabeth S. Anker (Cornell University) has presented her paper on "South African Constitucionalism and the Arquitecture of Mourning".
Both Talks were followed by substantial debate with academics from Católica and other institutions.
In the next talk, on March 17, Martijn Hesselink (University of Amsterdam and Professor in the LL.M. Law in a European and Global Context at Católica Global School of Law) will present the paper “Democratic Contract Law”.
