This hire strengthens CGSL´s bet in interdisciplinary research, based on empiric methods and on an economic approach to Law. “ CGSL´s academic project is in the edge of what´s being currently done in Europe, as it is internationally recognized, and it gives me pride to be a part of that challenge” states Garoupa.

Nuno Garoupa is a highly regarded scholar, internationally renowned for his extensive scientific work, published in the best international magazines, having been acknowledged with the research award Julián Marías. He is also known for his international teaching activity: he was Professor in the College of Law of the Illinois University, until February 2015, having been invited to teach and to participate in conferences in the best Universities in the world (Harvard, Stanford, Oxford, among others).
