Former CGSL Professor, Miguel Poiares Maduro, Minister of the Government of Portugal, was the keynote speaker on the conference The Euro Crisis and Institutional Reform in the EU held at the Lisbon Campus of the Catholic University of Portugal on July, the 24th.
The origins of the financial and economic crisis of the Euro system, the democratic character of the crisis and its challenges, and the role of the European Union in this same context were some of the topics addressed in the conference.
